RnB/New Wave done properly: The Hotelles

I know what is going through your head, RnB is a crap genre full of people that want to rap but can't. I 100% agree with you, and am not talking about that kind of RnB. I'm talking about rhythm 'n blues, the indie, funky rock pioneered by the Who and the Beach Boys. The music that you listen to on the radio, and imagine yourself in a Mustang with Ray Bans on... Kind of.

The band in question is the Hotelles, a young three-piece from Kent, UK. When I say young, I mean the youngest member is just 14. But don't let that trick you into thinking their a "kiddy" band, because they're not. Their sound echoes the Drums, the Libertines and The Vaccines in that kind of life-affirming Rythm 'n Blues/New Wave style.

They recently released a single: Aviators on iTunes, along with two b-sides, close to tears and Ruins. all three are solid tracks, led by Funky guitars and a high pitched, throaty lead vocal.
